Sustainability & Mama Qucha – not just a nappy beach bag

Beach visits with baby

At Mama Qucha, we aim to create beautiful, functional and unique baby bags that have a minimal impact on the environment, and support ethical manufacturing and happy workplaces. You can read all about our sustainable vision and practices on our Sustainability page.

In our blog today, we’re happy to announce that from the end of October, we will be posting out all Australian orders in HEROPACKS, a biodegradeable home-compostable mailer bag, that when composted turns into some pretty yummy food for worms in the ground. For anything posted from our other location in Ireland, we’re using a local Irish eco-mailer in grey (that unfortunately doesn’t have any fancy colours or marketing) that is also home- compostable. All great stuff and a win for the planet!

And as all our parcels from Australia are sent through Australia Post, delivery of every parcel is now (since 30 September 2019) recognised as carbon neutral. This means that with every Mama Qucha Purchase in Australia, you're supporting carbon-offset projects that have positive environmental impacts. Hurrah!
